General
Throughout this Privacy Policy, the terms we, us and our refer to Stanton Road Partners Pty Ltd (ABN 72 631 839 417) (Australian Financial Services License No. 515613).
This Privacy Policy only applies to your dealings with us, including dealings via our websites. If you follow a hyperlink to another third party website or external content, the privacy policy (if any) of that third party website or host of the external content will apply.
This Privacy Policy sets out how:
· we collect, use, disclose, store and otherwise process (together, Handle) your personal information;
· you may seek access to, or the correction of your personal information; and
· you may make a complaint in respect of a breach of this Privacy Policy or the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may vary this Privacy Policy at any time. Please refer to this Privacy Policy from time to time to review any variations or additional information.
Collecting your personal information
The personal information that we may collect from you when you contact us via online forms, email, telephone, post or otherwise through any medium of communication varies, but may include: name / organisation, title / occupation, postal address, email address, telephone number(s), gender, and any other personal information that you provide to us. If you do not provide some or all of this personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our services or respond effectively to your communications.
The personal information that we may collect from you when you submit a job application varies, but may include:
full name, company name, gender, email address, residential address, postal address, telephone number(s), ABN or any other applicable tax information, and banking or payment information;
information about your character or background, details about your qualifications, skills and employment history, copies of qualification certificates or memberships of professional bodies, information about your current salary level, your citizenship status and/or right to work, information from referees provided by you, links to your professional profiles (e.g. LinkedIn or any other corporate website); and
whether you have a disability that we may need to accommodate, results of any criminal history, directorship, health, financial probity and identity checks (together, Background Checks), and any other information that you provide to us.
If you do not provide some or all of this personal information, we may not be able to effectively consider your job application.
We may collect your personal information from publicly available data sources, information services providers, and those parties referred to in the “Disclosing your personal information” section.
We may collect cookies from you when you access, browse or otherwise use any of our websites. Although cookies are not personal information, in some circumstances, cookies may allow us to identify you. Any personal information obtained through the use of cookies will only be Handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you want to, you can disable your web browser from accepting cookies. If you do, you can still access our websites, but not all functionality may be available.
Using your personal information
We use your personal information only for the primary purposes for which it was collected, including in order to:
respond to your communications, provide and improve our services; send you promotional communications, keep a record of our dealings with you;
verify your personal information, consider your job application, conduct Background Checks, contact you about any available job position; and
carry out any business or marketing process, and enforce our Terms of Use.
We may also use your personal information for a secondary purpose that is related to a purpose for which we collected it, provided you would reasonably expect us to do so.
In the event you do not wish to receive any further promotional communication from us, you may opt-out by contacting us (our contact details are set out on our Contact page) or through the opt-out mechanism contained in the communication.
Disclosing your personal information
We will generally not disclose your personal information to overseas recipients (including any of our related bodies corporate), unless you have given your consent.
We will not disclose your personal information, except:
· to contractors and third-party service providers that provide financial, legal, administrative, marketing or other services in connection with the operation of our business who are obliged to hold your personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy (e.g. mailing houses);
· to exchange your personal information with recruiters, Background Check providers, academic institutions, health service providers, professional and trade associations, law enforcement agencies, referees and your current and previous employers.
· when we are required to do so by the laws of Australia, regulation or judicial process, to enforce our Terms of Use, to protect our rights, property or personal safety; and
· with your consent or when your consent can be reasonably inferred from the circumstances.
Storing your personal information
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that all of your personal information that we store is protected from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, interference, misuse or loss.
These steps include storing your personal information on industry standard encrypted servers, auditing, monitoring and implementing physical restrictions on access to such servers, and destroying or de-identifying your personal information in a secure manner if we no longer need it for the purposes for which it was collected, unless we are otherwise required or authorised by law.
Your rights
You have a right to request access to, and correction of, your personal information that we store. If you wish to make such a request, believe that there may have been a breach of this Privacy Policy, or are unhappy with any aspect of the way we Handle your personal information, please contact us (our contact details are set out on our Contact page).
When contacting us, you may be required to provide proof of your identity to ensure that personal information is disclosed only to those to whom it belongs.
Other than a request to access your personal information, we may charge you an administration fee which will reflect the cost to us of carrying out your request.
How to make a complaint
Where you have raised a concern or complaint regarding our Handling of your personal information under this Privacy Policy, we will endeavour to respond within 30 business days of receiving your request.
If we refuse to provide access to, or allow correction of your personal information, we will notify you in writing setting out a written explanation of the reasons for the refusal (unless unreasonable to do so) and inform you of the mechanisms to complain about our refusal.
